💡 Background
With the hype surrounding the new blockchain technology growing, more and more fields of application are becoming apparent in a wide variety of areas. Recently, a new model has emerged: The Community Token Economy (CTE).
"A CTE provides a dynamic framework to incentivise collaborative behaviours early in the birthing cycles of [...] new digital economies. To be clear, CTEs are a governing and coordination model, and not a technology. It is meant to augment rather than replace generic protocols, blockchains or distributed ledgers like Ethereum or IOTA." - find the full introduction (here).
CTEs are extremely flexible, they can be based on a wide variety of resources such as IP, network, or distribution. This flexibility enables many different business models.
In your thesis you should provide an overview of social and community tokens: Research startups, corporates, use cases, business models, technologies, pros and cons as well as the state-of-the-art industry of community tokens. Make your findings accessible by creating a landing page that explains social and community tokens.

The Chair for Strategy and Organization is focused on research with impact. This means we do not want to repeat old ideas and base our research solely on the research people did 10 years ago. Instead, we currently research topics that will shape the future. Topics such as Agile Organizations and Digital Disruption, Blockchain Technology, Creativity and Innovation, Digital Transformation and Business Model Innovation, Diversity, Education: Education Technology and Performance Management, HRTech, Leadership, and Teams. We are always early in noticing trends, technologies, strategies, and organizations that shape the future, which has its ups and downs.

- Conduct a systematic screening of startups, corporates, use cases, technologies, advantages and disadvantages, as well as the state-of-the-art industry - What are the current trends and players regarding social and community tokens?
- You may discover a new business model doing your analysis
- Provide an overview of social and community tokens
- Put your research into practice by launching a landing page that explains social and community tokens
The site should have information about startups, technologies, as well as the suitability for different applications ... and many more aspects.
You might also collaborate with munichNFT: munichNFT is the world's first city-NFT platform for creatives and artists who want to learn about, create, mint, auction and buy NFTs. The project is always open for new impulses.

We do not want your research to gather dust in some corner of bookshelf but make it accessible to the world. Thus, we warmly encourage you to create some or all of the following:
