π About the Project
Although visibility is important for the academic career and role models of young female academics, research to date provides too few answers on the reasons for and the effect of a lack of visibility of female academics. In addition, too few effective measures for equal and gender-equitable visibility are known. This research project therefore aims to develop sustainable strategies to make the innovative achievements of female scientists in digital media more visible and to structurally anchor this increased visibility and communicate it to the wider (specialist) public. The specific study will focus on innovative Women in AI and their representation in the media.
π§ Your Thesis
You will support an online experiment (vignette study) researching the public reactions to different types of representations of scientists in the media. You will work with cutting-edge technology to help finalize the study design. (Advantage for you: The research design is already mostly developed, although we appreciate if you bring in additional ideas).
π― Goals
- Explore how gender stereotypes and impact the public perception of female innovators
The scope of your thesis will be determined based on your background, type of thesis, and personal interests.

π¦ΎWho We Are
The Chair for Strategy and Organization is focused on research with impact. This means we do not want to repeat old ideas and base our research solely on the research people did 10 years ago. Instead, we currently research topics that will shape the future. Topics such as Agile Organizations and Digital Disruption, Blockchain Technology, Creativity and Innovation, Digital Transformation and Business Model Innovation, Diversity, Education: Education Technology and Performance Management, HRTech, Leadership, and Teams. We are always early in noticing trends, technologies, strategies, and organizations that shape the future, which has its ups and downs.
