Prototype-EXPLAINED

In this part I am going to introduce my prototype and explain it.

→Because I was able to collect experience in this field already and I have been living in Seoul (Korea) therefore I will focus on the region of Seoul as the “local” area for the prototype.

Traget audience

-Young people thinking about to travel to korea

-Young people in Korea looking for things to do

-Young people interested in Korea (Culture, food, etc)

Management

The plan for the management of account could be as follows:

What to post:

-The following is based on the fiction of having less than 250k followers and setting a focus mainly on reach rate improvement:

-Daily 5 instagram stories (Can be very personal (Food of the day, going to a workout, sharing daily activities) and includes re-sharing of own daily post and reels)

-Even tho 14 post would be the best amount of posts, this prototype is based on 12 posts per week due to it being supposed to be a side hustle and not a full-time job

→Splitted into 7 reels and 4 posts and 1 guide per week

How to plan:

Since building this account will be a side hustle and no full time business content creation should be focused on specific days:

→Content creation for the next week will be on Saturday and Sunday

Realistically speaking, 2 locations per day is definitely feasible. This means on Saturday and Sunday at least 4 locations can be visited (Sometimes it might be possible to create more and in that case you can pre-shoot content)

-Locations can include many things like:

-Museums

-Popular cafes

-Historical places

-Wall paintings

-Spa centers

-Architecturally interesting houses

-Restaurants

-Hikes

-etc

-Use Scheduling apps (Here: Later) to already set posting date of the content automatically

Growing strategy

-Daily stories and highly interactive (Especially every Thursday super interactive)

One source doesn’t mention such a tag but still cooperates with influencers, here getting in contact through an instagram direct message would be the best way

Monetarize

-As in plan: Friday is for reaching out to brands

-Your Worth:

→Hard to make an example since projects may vary extremely and depend on following size or what the particular brand is looking for

Therefore, I will set an example calculation (With fictional numbers and what I would charge for it)

Derived from information found in:

💰Your worth

-Example: Account with 175k followers and engagement rate of 13%

-One cent per follower (Or $100 per 10K followers) rule: 1750$

-Range for posts based on follower amount (100k-250k): 2000-6000$

-With 175k: Middle of this range + extraordinary engagement rate of 13%

→Therefore in a negotiation accepted value:

-Post: 3000-1750$

-Reel: More time & effort needed + potential to go viral→ 4000-2000$

-Story: easy to create but highly engaging → 1000-500$

→Bundle deals could be further discounted

→Both should additionally use the instagram feature of “paid collaboration” (In Prototype-version this can’t be added, but be aware of not forgetting it when actually posting!)

→Personal Take-Away:

-Being a travel influencer is quite some work, which sometimes will be underestimated

-It requires good management skills and a continuity

-You might have to deal with hate, privacy issues, etc.

BUT

-It allows you to make money of things you enjoy

-You become and expert in your own region and grow your own skill portfolio

-Continuity motivates you to do activities and prevents you to get lazy

-Get closer to your own culture and connect with interesting people around the world

-Opens different opportunities and lets you gain new experiences
