Kaveh Abhari is a professor of management information systems at San Diego State University, director of the Digital Innovation Lab, and a research affiliate at the James Silberrad Brown Center for Artificial Intelligence. His research examines how organizations can advance digital transformation while strengthening human capability, agency, and judgment. Working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, responsible innovation, and human-centered design, he studies how employee experience, workforce readiness, and technology governance shape organizational change and agentic transformation. His work connects scholarly inquiry with the design and evaluation of AI-enabled systems for learning, collaboration, and employee development. Through advisory and consulting engagements, he helps leaders translate these insights into responsible AI strategies and practical pathways for strengthening innovation capabilities.
