💡 Background
Diversity in top management teams (TMTs) has become a critical topic in organizational studies, shaping how businesses achieve sustainable growth, foster innovation, and navigate global challenges. Evidence shows that diverse leadership enhances creativity, decision-making, and adaptability to complex markets. Yet, the full potential of diversity remains underexplored, with many questions about its tangible impacts on performance and team dynamics.
This thesis investigates how different dimensions of diversity—gender, cultural background, experience, and more—affect the effectiveness and outcomes of TMTs. Through case studies, empirical analysis, and academic insights, the study will uncover actionable frameworks to help businesses leverage diversity for competitive advantage.
The research will focus on:
- Examining diversity’s role in driving innovation and organizational agility.
- Understanding challenges and biases in TMT dynamics.
- Identifying best practices for diverse leadership teams to thrive.
