💡 Background
As a start-up still in the making, we are currently validating multiple approaches to tackling the challenging task of content creation for XR applications in the nascent Metaverse ecosystem. What we need is a holistic analysis of the technical requirements and economics of various techniques and processes in 3D content creation. We want to gain a deep understanding of:
- The main applications and use cases of 3D content, including individual requirements with regard to content quality
- Relevant characteristics / attributes of 3D content for such applications and use cases
- Technologies that exist today to create 3D content (e.g. LIDAR scanners, transformation of 2D pictures, CAD models, etc.)
- Technologies to create 3D content that are underway (as an outlook)
- The economics of technologies for 3D content creation (cost drivers, scale effects, technology dependencies, etc.)
- How the economics of the respective technologies will evolve over the next 2-5 years (as an outlook)
You will see the findings of your research directly incorporated into an evolving business plan, thereby shaping the pathway of a new venture in the Metaverse ecosystem. You are free to propose both methodology and scope of the analysis, and you will have sufficient “airtime” to calibrate and spar your ideas with our co-founders that have a background in strategy consulting, technology, and finance

The startup: WOXR aims to build the most simple platform and processes to create and manage content for AR/VR/MR applications at scale.
The chair:
The Chair for Strategy and Organization is focused on research with impact. This means we do not want to repeat old ideas and base our research solely on the research people did 10 years ago. Instead, we currently research topics that will shape the future. Topics such as Agile Organizations and Digital Disruption, Blockchain Technology, Creativity and Innovation, Digital Transformation and Business Model Innovation, Diversity, Education: Education Technology and Performance Management, HRTech, Leadership, and Teams. We are always early in noticing trends, technologies, strategies, and organizations that shape the future, which has its ups and downs.
