The 3C-Check can help you to find the optimal experience / motivation
Prof. Hugo Kehrs (TUM) has created a model to illustrate motivation. The optimal motivation arises from the intersection, where you’re capable of doing your task (hand), you are in line with your values (heart) and your believes (head). It is called the 3-C check, as all three components (head, heart and hand) should be part of a activity. If that is the case, we are very likely to feel flow. Flow is a state of mind, where time stands still, where we are so focused on our task that we forget everything around us.

“Many people think they lack motivation, when what they really lack is clarity”
ATOMIC HABITS - James Clear (2020). James Clear is a well known author and speaker. His work is focused around habit creation. In the following clip he explains, how small everyday changes can make huge differences. He also emphasizes, that it is often not motivation we are missing, but the clear picture on what we want to achieve.

Learn from the best - additional hacks you should keep in mind
- Charlie Munger is one of the most successful business men. He and Warren Buffets work together at Berkshire Hathaway. His and Buffets formula of success (least one of them) is going to bed smarter than you woke up. Meaning that you should use every day to learn something new. If you do so, your decisions will get better and therefore you will become more successful. After university people tend to forget that it is curtail to keep learning. So, find your own way to do so. Maybe join the local library, subscribe to interesting newsletters, meet interesting people, or get your own routine in reading the newspaper. The ways on how and where we can learn are endless. Check what works best for you, but NEVER STOP LEARNING.
- Jack Ma and J.K. Rowling have the same “Don’t give up” mentality. They both were rejected several times with their ideas, but as you know, their consistency paid off and both got successful. So, let us keep that in mind next time we get rejected and start believing in yourself.
