Five tips to support grieving parents on their sacred journey

❓
Let's shed light on the important points about losing a child, but with a touch of entertainment:

Losing a child is a journey only understood by those who have been there. So, let's be there for grieving parents, and here are five key tips:

  1. Remember our children with us 🧒🏼
  2. Share memories, acknowledge special occasions, and ask about the child
  3. Accept that you can't 'fix’ us 🧑🏾‍🔧
  4. Grieving parents need support and patience as they navigate their grief journey
  5. Know that there are at least two days a year we need a timeout ⌛️
  6. Birthdays and the anniversary of the child's death are particularly difficult
  7. Realize that we struggle every day with happiness 🎈
  8. Balancing the pain of loss with the desire to honor the child's memory
  9. Accept that our loss might make you uncomfortable 📇
  10. Speaking the child's name and acknowledging the loss is more meaningful than avoiding the topic
