Workbook: 30-Days to better Habits

I participated in a 30- Day course for better Habits, you can find my most important learnings below. The detailed PDF workbook is attached as PDF, also an Excel list for more examples.

Create Identity Based Habits

πŸ’‘
Who is the type of person you want to become?

The focus should always be on becoming that kind of person, not on achieving a particular result

Who is the type of person who could achieve the result I want? What would a healthy person do? What would a productive person do? These questions help to identify the desired identity to work toward and the Habits that support that identity. In this way, one can determine which Habit to focus on

Follow the 2-Minute Rule

πŸ’‘
When you start a new Habit, it should take less than two minutes to do!

When trying to build a new habit, people often make the mistake of trying to big to start. According to the 2 minute rule, no new Habit should take more than 2 minutes to start.

The start should be as easy as possible

Use an Implementation Intention

πŸ’‘
A plan you make beforehand about when and where to act. Consider when you are most likely to be successful!

The key step in Implementation Intention is finding the right time and place to fit the new Habit into your daily routine.
