Are you fascinated by the intersection of Generative AI and the usage in the German Law System? We're looking for motivated student assistants to support our TITAN-Project (infos below):

The TITAN-Project:

Das TITAN-Projekt (Technologische Intelligenz zur Transformation, Automatisierung und Nutzerorientierung des Justizsystems) fördert die Akzeptanz von Künstlicher Intelligenz (KI) im Justizwesen. Ziel ist es, durch KI Routineaufgaben zu automatisieren, komplexe Probleme zu lösen und individuelle Bedürfnisse zu erkennen, um die Effizienz und Gerechtigkeit zu steigern. Das Projekt vereint Experten aus Recht, IT, Psychologie und Ökonomie und bindet alle relevanten Akteure ein.

Ein Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Entwicklung und Erprobung von Maßnahmen zur Akzeptanzsteigerung des KI-Einsatzes in der Justiz. Dazu gehören die Identifikation von Herausforderungen, die KI besser lösen kann, die Erstellung von Anwendungsszenarien, die Evaluierung rechtlicher Grenzen und die Entwicklung von Fortbildungsprogrammen für Justizangehörige.

Künstliche Intelligenz in der Justiz

Die Daimler und Benz Stiftung startet das neue Ladenburger Kolleg TITAN, um den Einsatz von Künstlicher Intelligenz im Justizsystem zu erforschen. Mit rund 1,5 Millionen Euro Förderung wird ein interdisziplinärer Forschungsverbund unter der Leitung von Prof. Dr. Anne Paschke (Technische Universität Braunschweig) untersuchen, wie Large Language Models juristische Prozesse unterstützen können.

Your potential tasks include:

• Help doing research in the field of Gen AI and Law from a organizational perspective
• Design surveys, collect information and provide data output
• Show your innovative mindset by exchanging ideas about new research projects
• Show your PPT skills in presenting scientific sources in an easy to grasp and appealing way
• Be responsible to master operational tasks (data collection, event organization, etc.)
• Have a proactive and diligent working style
• Speaking German is necessary
