📕 Description of coursework
This course exists to address and convey all the content that otherwise receives too little attention — whether in school, university, vocational training, or public discourse — so that students can already acquire and benefit from this knowledge. What really matters in life, work, and career?
Many of the unwritten rules and interconnections relevant to all professions are only discovered late in life and are often passed on informally. The aim of this seminar is to close these “blank spots” and “gaps” by providing practically useful content, whose knowledge and understanding offer real added value for work, career, and other areas of life. The seminar covers the following topic areas:
Have gained an in-depth understanding of their assigned topic and clearly presented the most important aspects for their fellow students.
- Personal skills
- Social skills
- Financial skills
🙇♂️ Learning outcomes
In the examination, students demonstrate that they:
- Have gained an in-depth understanding of their assigned topic and clearly presented the most important aspects for their fellow students.
- Have identified and prepared practical applications for this topic.
- Possess presentation and communication skills that enable them to present their findings on this topic clearly and in a well-structured manner, and to discuss the applicability of their results to business practice.
For the examination, participants will select one topic from one of the three areas to work on in depth and detail. They will prepare it didactically so that all other course participants can also benefit from it. Within the seminar, they will have the opportunity to present and discuss this topic and receive feedback on their work both immediately after the presentation and through a peer review process. Building on this, participants will continue to elaborate, refine, and present their topic in a clear and engaging way over the course of the semester.
📖 Teaching methods
As part of the seminar, participants will receive input on the covered topics within various thematic modules, along with study materials for self-study and review. The content will then be deepened during the seminar through exercises, role plays, reflections, presentations, and discussions.
